Does CRMSender provide lists of opt-in email address for sale or rent?
No, CRMSender does not provide the email address database. You will need to supply your own list of directly opted-in email addresses in order to use CRMSender.
Can I use a purchased, rented or otherwise third party list with CRMSender?
No, we do not allow the use of third party mailing lists. Our clients may only mail those people who specifically requested info from their company or organization The use of such lists violates email marketing “best practices,” and is considered unacceptable by most of the major Internet and Email Service Providers like AOL, Yahoo, MSN, etc. Allowing third party lists would have a negative impact on our reputation and email delivery.
What is a "Third Party" list?
Any list that was compiled using methods that does not include obtaining direct permission from all members of the list. This would include any purchased or rented lists, lists that are built from harvesting email addresses off websites, and 3rd-party opt-in lists (permission, but not direct permission to receive emails from you or *your company/organization).
What is Permission Marketing?
Permission marketing is the direct interaction with your customer or prospect after you have received their permission to do so.
What is Double Opt-in?
Double opt-in is your protection against the sending of unsolicited email. If you use the CRMSender opt-in form feature, after a visitor registers at your site they will receive a confirmation email. By clicking on the confirmation email, your visitor has "double opted-in" which means they are the rightful owner of that email address and they would like to receive emails from you. In addition, only lists of opt-in email addresses can be uploaded manually into your secure CRMSender account.
Why Double Opt-in?
Sending unsolicited mail or SPAM may result in your emails being blocked by ISP’s and corporate domains. Double Opt-in policies prevent these situations and also contribute to a clean list generation process.
What is "SPAM"?
"Spam" is the term for unsolicited email. When you "SPAM" someone you are sending email that they do not wish to receive or did not sign up for.
When can I send out email?
Once a CRMSender campaign has been scheduled and launched it will be run through an approval process to ensure that the content of the email is compliant with the CAN-SPAM law. In the Reporting area of the Control Center you will notice that the campaign has been set to a status of "Pending Approval". The campaign will be reviewed, and if no problems exist (which will be most cases), it will either be mailed immediately or set to a status of "Pending Launch" until the user-designated launch date/time arrive.
Is there a limit to how many emails I can send?
No. However, CRMSender may contact you for opt-in verification for any large lists you upload into your account. If you are planning to upload a list over 30,000 records, you will need to contact Support@CRMSender.com and provide verification that the mailing list consists of only opt-in subscribers.

Account Security
Does CRMSender have a Privacy Policy?
Yes, and a very strict one. Our user's privacy and data security is our number one priority. We bind all of our clients to the upload agreement and terms of service when they use our system for mailing purposes. Only email addresses from people who have directly opted-in can be loaded and mailed using our tools. We have established our name as an "ethical email marketing solution" and we've developed measures to curb any/all abuse of service that we can maintain control over.
How secure is my data?
All CRMSender clients are set up with a unique and secure environment within our system where they can upload and download data 24/7/365. No one will ever have access to the lists that you upload accept you, and anyone that you share your login and password details with. Data is protected in many ways. First, our physical database servers are locked in a secure facility that monitors them 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Secondly, all CRMSender servers are protected by secure firewall systems from the industry leader, Cisco Systems™.
Will my data be shared with anyone else?
We do not share your data with anyone! The data is strictly your data and if you were to ever terminate your account, you can choose to delete that data from your account and the CRMSender system. We do not rent or sell email lists of names to outside venders or permit the use of third party lists that are uploaded into our system.
Policies and Deliverability
Can I use a purchased, rented or otherwise third party list with CRMSender?
No, we do not allow the use of third party mailing lists. Our clients may only mail those people who specifically requested info from their company or organization. The use of such lists violates email marketing “best practices,” and is considered unacceptable by most of the major Internet and Email Service Providers like AOL, Yahoo, MSN, etc. Allowing third party lists would have a negative impact on our reputation and email delivery.
Why do I have to include my postal address in the email?
Can my email content have an impact on delivery and results?
p>Your content can have a dramatic impact on how people respond to your email campaign. It can also be a key factor in keeping your email out of a recipient’s spam folder.
What are some tips for writing a good From Label?
Your From Label is there solely to tell people who you are, so it should be your Name or Company Name. If your recipients signed up for the newsletter at Widgets.com, for example, then the From Label should be Widgets or Widgets.com.
What are some tips for writing a good subject line?
- Keep it short and to the point. Many email readers cut the subject line off after 40 characters.
- Don’t repeat your From Label in the subject line. The space is too valuable to repeat something the recipient can already easily see.
- Avoid spammy words and excessive punctuation. Including a word like FREE!!!” in your subject line could trip some spam filters. Don’t try to get around this by separating the letters in the word by using spaces or characters (F^R E E !!) as this looks even more suspicious.
- Try not to write in ALL CAPS as this is email screaming and could turn some recipients off.
What are some tips for creating good email content?
- Use images to enhance your text and html content, but avoid sending emails that are made up of only images. Sending image-only emails has become a popular technique among spammers to sneak their junk past content filters, so some filters now view image only emails with suspicion.
- Try to be concise. Avoid long blocks of copy as this can make an email harder to read.
- Keep the email relaxed. Email is a personal medium and treating it that way, instead of like an electronic brochure, can help you achieve better results.
- Use personalization. If you know your recipients’ first names, put them to use in the email. Dear Margaret sounds better than Dear Customer.
- Link to your website wherever it seems appropriate. The more opportunities your subscribers have to visit your site, the more likely they are to do so.
